PROOF DAY #5! Referring to the fact that CMG is engaged in another "Proof Day". This one being #5 so far. The news today is that, YES, the small adjustments needed for the remaining files have been done. Based on what I have seen, I (Karl here) expect that they will sail through with no issues. Right now I'm waiting to start a meeting with Chuck to discuss all this. What else? Got a couple things going, but to hear more, you're just gonna have to... Stay Tuned! Today's headline reads...
PROOF DAY #4! Referring to the fact that CMG is engaged in another "Proof Day". This one being #4 so far. It's not over, but I have a minute to post this while I wait for Chuck to give his approval to 3 more files. By day's end we expect to have almost all of the files approved. The remaining three files only need small adjustments. With this in mind we predict that within 24 hours ALL (with no exceptions) will be in the "Approved" folder ready to make our sample game. What else? Got a couple things going, but to hear more, you're just gonna have to... Stay Tuned! Today's headline reads...
POST PROOF! Referring to the fact that CMG is wading through the "Post Proof" stage. Not to say that the Proof Stage is over yet, just that a particular round of it ended and now we do the "back and forth questions and clarifications" bit. What else? Got a couple things going, but to hear more, you're just gonna have to... Stay Tuned! Today's headline reads...
PROOF DAY #3! Referring to the fact that CMG is engaged in another "Proof Day". So what is a "Proof Day?" Simply meaning, a day where the ball is in our court due to proofs arriving from the factory. These tend to be very high pressure days because we do NOT want to hold up this project, so we want the ball OUT of our court and into the factory's court right away! Things look good at this point for getting that done today. We are calling this "Proof Day #3" because according to our count this is the 3rd time so far that we have been involved in approving Proofs for this project. Here is the summary so far... 1. The Board 2. The rest of the game 3. The missing parts of game (that were for whatever reason not included in round #2) and fixed proofs from #1 and #2 above. What else? Got a couple things going, but to hear more, you're just gonna have to... Stay Tuned! Today's headline reads...
HURRY UP AND WAIT! Referring to the fact that CMG is beginning to enter that phase of the project where sometimes the ball is in our court (that puts us into "Hurry-up" mode), and sometimes the ball is in the factory's court (that puts us in "Wait" mode). Wouldn't it be great if "wait" mode meant that we had nothing to do! Then we could just sit around playing games or at least play-testing, or something. The reality is that it means we have a few moments to catch up on all those areas we have been neglecting for so long. Dang! Hate how that works!!! :( Feeling more caught up with things is bound to start happening at some point though. :) What else? Got a couple things going, but to hear more, you're just gonna have to... GETTIN' SOME! Referring to the fact that CMG is working hard to help folks to discover options for how to get a copy of Police Precinct 2nd Edition. What else? Got a couple things going, but to hear more, you're just gonna have to... Stay Tuned! Today's headline reads...
PUNK CRISIS! Referring to the fact that CMG narrowly averted a crisis with several of the Event Cards involving the word "Punks." That's the kind of stuff that goes on behind the scenes every day in the life of a small publisher. Solving this one involved getting some help from Jake Staines the designer of the cards. It's a long story, so details will be left out, but... A big thanks goes out to Jake for this and the many things he has done to help make Police Precinct what is (and will be). Thanks! And... Did you see the Cadets learning! Link compliments of their instructor James Goodman (who is also one of our amazing Law Enforcement Consultants). Thanks James! What else? Got a couple things going, but to hear more, you're just gonna have to... Stay Tuned! |
